The Clinic
Clinica SANDALF is located in Benalmadena in the far south of Spain on the Costa del Sol. Although in summer the Costa del Sol is one of the hottest areas in Europe, during the rest of the year it is known for its' mild and very reliable climate. This is the time when you can enjoy the sunshine on rather empty beaches or play a round of golf on one of the countless courses between Gibraltar and Nerja.
Arroyo de la Miel is part of the coastal town of Benalmadena, which lies about 10 miles to the west of Malaga and about 10 minutes away from the airport. Should you live in any of the neighbouring towns of Torremolinos in the east or Fuengirola in the west, you could easily get to Clinica SANDALF using the local train. You can find us just two minutes from the Arroyo de la Miel/Benalmadena train station.
Clinica SANDALF has two main treatment rooms as well as a plaster room for applying a plaster of Paris. Standard treatment is performed immediately, including localised injections for lower back pain, intra-articular injections into a specific joint, treatment of wounds and cuts, or even chiropractic manipulation. The first consultation usually takes about 45 minutes. X-rays, diagnostic ultra-sound scan or measurement of the bone density could be performed immediately if the consultant feels it is necessary.
Another important part of treating orthopaedic problems is physiotherapy, whether as post-operative rehabilitation after joint replacements or trauma surgery, treating other problems such as back and neck pain, or acute injuries such as ankle sprains. To make sure that these and any other problem can be treated properly by our physiotherapist Sandra Vincenti, Clinica SANDALF provides a large and fully equipped gym. The gym is also used by our Pilates instructor and other professionals (massage therapist, deep tissue massage, etc.)

Should you come by car, please follow the instructions given on the page how to find us. You can park your car in the big public parking area just past the front entrance to Tivoli World. About 100 yards on the right-hand side, you will see a small road going down hill. Follow that for 50 yards and you will see the entrance of Clinica SANDALF located in the white building on the right, opposite the ambulance parking of the local health centre. Of course, if necessary, you can also be dropped off at the entrance of Clinica SANDALF where wheelchair access is available.
The opening hours of the clinic are Monday to Friday 10.00 - 14.00 and Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 15.00 - 18.00. The consultant can also be seen by appointment in the evenings or on the weekends if necessary.
During our opening hours our receptionist will welcome you and ask you to fill in some personal details to get you registered in our clinic.
Clinica SANDALF also provides a small operating theatre. This allows Mr. A Neuhaus to perform minor operations in the clinic. Due to his general surgery training he can help with minor surgical problems including wart or mole removal, hammer toe corrections or carpal tunnel decompressions, all done under local anaesthetics and without the need of hospital admission and usually without any waiting time. This operating theatre is also used by some of the other surgeons cooperating with Clinica SANDALF, like Mr. C Molina, a medical specialist trained in general abdominal surgery, vascular surgery and endoscopic surgery.
Clinica SANDALF is not only wheelchair friendly, it also provides a fully licensed wheelchair transport van. This van can pick you up anywhere along the Costa del Sol, wheel you straight into
the specially modified van and drive you to us (or any other destination that you might want to get to).
